One thinks so much to stop thinking.- With passion we feel our lives, for we cannot see our lives, we simply see what we see. Like the blind, one has one’s hands stretched, and senses directions - for all eyes are blind to the nature and substance of their lives: to let go, as if life were a stream.

Music is cheap (my music is free - see http://d-thinker.com/free_music)

Cheers (dvd) - poor people having a laugh

Mash (dvd) - doctors in a poor situation

Poverty Mantra: Advantages and disadvantages of saving money, say for 15 minutes

Money and the Law Of Attraction - a book about you know what

A real comment from Wii user from Amazon.co.uk:

So, why haven't I lost weight and more importantly why have I not continued to use the pristinely conditioned Wii fit board? Well my homage to the Chocolate Hob Knob is testament to my inability to stop ramming the things into my face.

Pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOOK - 8 http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/120108.htm

Diary Thinker - On Arguments, Inspired By Book 8

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/argue

Perhaps the key to make argumentation a discussion, is not to go deeper, but to sink a certain depth....that is greater than the person or system one is at odds with, and to examine all angles. This methodology is displayed here in this book.

What are arguments, is it not karma, or politics: it depends on where one is coming from. From a religious side argumentation can be about making a judgment in a critical fashion, and come from a moral world-view. If I were to call this kind of argumentation critical argumentation, few perhaps would argue with that! Perhaps this type is not popular with people that argue, as it can leave one drained, and physically exhausted, opinionated argumentation is more popular with people that may look for arguments.

Perhaps argumentation is intense discussion, expressions are amplified....But in the end argumentation is about looking at our own views.

2 last words

1

copy and paste from book 8:

For it is easy for earthly and mundane gods to be angry, being made and composed by men out of either nature; thus giving us to understand that he believed that demons were formerly the souls of dead men....

2

mantra for today: advantages and diadvantages of arguing, repeat 180, no 198 times!

APPENDIX - DIFFERENT TYPES OF ARGUMENTATION

KIDS ARGUE IN A PLAYFUL WAY, A CARICATURE OF SHAKESPEAREAN DRAMA, THIS IS WHERE WE LEARN OUR METHODOLOGY IN ARGUMENTATION:

PHILOSOPHICAL ARGUMENTATION, AM I ARGUING ABOUT ARGUING? A FULL WORK OUT IN THE GYM!

CHARACTER ASSASSINATION, THIS IS INTERESTING, AS IT DEPENDS ON THE MOTIFS OF THE ACCUSER, AND WHETHER THEY ARE BASED ON STRENGTH OR WEAKNESS(SUCH AS ENVY OR BEING A DIFFICULT PERSONA):

FINAL WORD

Arguing may reveal hidden, or repressed emotions that may be connected to another person who is connected to the person you are arguing to, or the very person one is arguing with. I am writing about very deep and ugly repressed emotions that can not be faced with pen on paper. d-thinker

BONUS - PSYCHOLOGY EXPERIMENT FOR TODAY

Animals with an innate phobia of novelty have higher levels of stress hormones after a new experience and die significantly younger than their braver kin, new research has found. The work suggests that a lifetime of fearful stress can take an accumulated toll on health. http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn4458-fear-of-new-things-shortens-life.html

ON NOISE - SILENCE IS EASY

Whether at work, or home we all need some amount of silence each day. These ear plugs (above)have 2 settings, one for high frequencies and one for low frequencies, snoring. Noise can come from work, or from a noisy family, a less efficient method would be to have a bath - sometimes the ears fill up with water, and act as ear plugs.

Research also suggests that too much noise can lead to Dyslexia:

"If a child has a hard time ignoring 'noise,' it could distort speech perception and complication
[the recognition] of sound segments, which is essential for learning how to read," says researcher Anne Sperling of Georgetown University Medical Center in a news release.link

Though noise is simply sound with  less patterns, as with different kinds of music, you may
like it if you can connect to the patterns in the music. I had an encounter at work yesterday,
and has led to an increase in my usual anxiety, life style could be linked to anxiety due to
the threat of a disruption in one's life style pattern.

So patterns are important to our health.

A definition of noise:

Noise cannot exist without sounds but sounds need interpretation before they can become noise. In the wording of Sanford Fidell at the workshop: "Noise is a sound that someone considers too inconvenient to control". This definition reveals the essentially political nature of noise annoyance.link

One way to release tension in ears is to put some sesame seed oil in the cap, and pour gently into the ear, while tilting the head.
Then the same for the other ear. The oil can also be used to stop wounds scaring.
Wax can be removed by using a special cleaning fluid - do not put anything in your ear.

Shouting, or talking too loud can also be seen as noise. Try to reiterate the noise in your mind but say it quietly. This is my new idea on this topic, any feedback on this idea will be helpful.

ON BLOOD PH - 7 IS ALRIGHT

4.5 could mean you are a cancer magnet!

So why is this?

If your blood is acidic it is less stable.

Tell me some obvious examples?

If you have an ulcer, it is caused by acid in the stomach, spirits are highly acidic.

Also voice loss, or cancer in the throat can be caused by acid reflux.

Go into details?

More acid means having less ability to carry oxygen, but cells need oxygen!

How do I test my PH?

I do not know, some sites that say PH testing is good, do sell PH paper, whereas saliva, or urine PH testing is not testing the PH of the blood.

Will drinking h20 do the trick?

It will just dilute the blood, but the PH balance will stay the same?

I thought Dr-Thinker - acid will make me stronger, I like Chili food and a drink, look at that Alien monster in the film Alien, their blood was very acidic?

There bodies were more suited to a HIGH acidic level. As I guess the reason for this was that there is less oxygen in space.

What about calcium?

You should be taking multi-vitamin tablets anyway?

But, tell me this, vitamin C is an acid, but many say it is a good for me, though oranges are obviously acid!

Remember there is always an exception, yep.

But I never get colds and I suspect I am too acidic?

Can I use a copy and paste to answer this:

So why is it that there are so many reports of plain ascorbic acid aiding in the fight against colds and infection? The answer is pH balance. Ascorbic acid lowers the pH of the blood making it more acidic. Since most pathogenic bacteria flourish in an alkaline environment, specifically in a pH of 7.4 and above, it is safe to say that many would have a hard time existing in a medium altered by ascorbic acid.link

So is there something that u can add more that is not acidic?

Ester-C Tablets - Non-acidic stomach friendly Vitamin C Stomach-friendly Vitamin C. PS this is not a commercial
Also people are called of Fire type in Vedic philosophy that are acidic, which could mean hot-tempered, Fire is one of the 5 elements, this acidic energy is called Pitta energy. The 5 elements does suggest a more complex way of seeing this discussion, instead of a PH thing with a statistic chart linking cancer to acid blood. Fire is also connected to the voice, see this chart.

So waht is the Indian connection, what is Pitta energy?

Vedic is similar to the Chinese Herbal Medicine, it is called Ayurveda medicine. The acidic state is called a Pitta state, which has nothing to do with Pitta bread. But there are 3 different personalities, and hence there is also the idea of harmony in my life. Ayurveda's philosophy hints there are advantages and disadvantages of being a certain type, I know somebody at work who is obviously Kapha, he is a slow but sure type, who may spend a week on such a post, but it will be more comforting to a blog reader, I am a Pitta type, and I like to write with passion.

Time for another copy and paste?

Vata Personality : Vata, the first of the three doshas is constituted by the elements earth and air. It is responsible for entire body movements and mind activities including blood circulation, respiration, speech, sensation, hearing, touch, excretion, natural urges, formation of foetus, the sexual act, retention and feeling like fear, anxiety, grief and enthusiasm. In short, most of the physical phenomena associated with the nervous system of human beings can be identified with Vata. People of vata constitution are generally physically underdeveloped with flat chests and prominent veins and muscle tendons. The complexion is brown, the skin is cold, rough, dry and cracked. Vata people tend to be either too tall or too short. Physiologically, the appetite and digestion are variable. Vata people loves sweet, sour and salty tastes and like hot drinks. The production of urine is scanty and the faeces are dry, hard and small in quantity. They have a tendency to perspire less and also sleep less than other constitutional types. Psychologically, they are characterized by short memory but quick receptability. They have little strength of will, tend toward mental insecurity and possess little tolerance, confidence or boldness. The imbalance of the vata dosha may lead to a wide range of complications like worry anxiety, chronic tiredness, insomnia, underweight, constipation, skin dryness, mental confusion, impulsiveness and fast and disconnected speech.

Pitta Personality : Pitta, the second of the three doshas comes from fire and is responsible for digestion, thirst, hunger, heat regulation, vision, softness and luster, intellect, cheerfulness and sexual vigor. People of pitta constitution are of medium height, slender and with delicate body frame. The veins, muscles and tendons are not as prominent as in the vata people. These people have a complexion that may be coppery, yellowish, reddish or fair. The skin is soft, warm and less wrinkled than vata skin. Physiologically, these people have a strong metabolic system, good digestive ability and a strong appetite. The person of pitta constitution usually takes large quantities of food and liquid. Pitta types have a natural desire for sweet, bitter and caustic tastes and enjoy cold drinks. Though of medium duration, their sleep is uninterrupted. They produce a large volume of urine and the faeces are yellowish, liquid, soft and plentiful. There is a tendency towards slightly high body temperature with excessive perspiration. Psychologically, pitta people have a good comprehensive power and tend to possess intelligence and sharp intellect. The signs of pitta dosha imbalance include impatience, digestive problems, vision difficulties, a tendency to endeavour excessively to achieve goals ,and many more.

Kapha Personality : Kapha, the third of the three doshas comes from the basic elements of earth and water, and makes up all the solid structures of the body. It is responsible for firmness, binding, heaviness, strength, sexual potency, forbearances and restraints. People of kapha constitution have well-developed bodies and naturally, a strong tendency to carry excess weight. The veins, tendons and bones are not prominent but the muscle development is good. These people have fair and bright complexion with soft and lustrous skin.

FINAL WORD - UP

So if you are more alkaline and are Kapha, you may be more prone to colds, and less to cancer, and then acid foods may be more beneficial. Vice versa for Pitta types, of the Vata type could be in between, perhaps David Bowie is a Vatta type.

Update of my Theory on Panic Attacks

posted - 14/11/08 - see below

The usual theory on Panic Attacks is that they develop from a very young age (2-4 year old) and this can be due to problems. Why they develop in very young people can be due to their limited resources to deal with things. Limitations can include a feeling of having less toys, the child can deal with this by increasing their sensitivity, or an amplification of life so they appreciate the toys that they already have. This may solve the problem, but this sensitivity is an amplification of life, or a distortion of life: life may become too loud, causing anxiety in older age.

There are different kinds of amplification in life, which are caused by sensitivities, it is basically how very young children deal with problems.

This may be difficult to understand, so here are 3 examples:

Lack of expression could cause an increase in sensitivity to colour

Lack of comfort could cause an increase in sensitivity to food

Lack of aesthetics in life could cause an increase in sensitivity to nature

Yesterday I did suggest to a person, who was suffering from long-term depression at work, that he may not be depressed but is suffering from tension caused by a sensitivity, I did sense some kind of internal response (body language), though there was an expected blank expression on his face. So I continued in the same line, that he has not had much bad luck in his life, he agreed.

p.s WHAT IS ANXIETY?

FEAR

Most people tidy themselves by sweeping their fear under the internal carpet of their perception.

Many Bloggers, I mean people suffer from them, I did notice this xanga post with over a hundred people admitting they have had panic attacks. My research suggests 80 percent of people suffer from anxiety, at work the other 20 percent tend to become managers (SOME WITH POWER COMPLEXES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), with usual exceptions etc.

xanga post on panic attacks

Many believe that panic attacks are brought on by the fear of having one, so they indirectly face panic attacks, I would call these effectual or reflective panic attacks. Some may feel that they are something new, and come from nowhere, but the truth is that one may have accustomed oneself to a very sensitized state. Panic attacks are not really panic attacks, but anxiety attacks. It is like an alarm, so where does the sensitised state come from, perhaps it can come from phobia, such as fear of knives (which may be related to a past incidence), or a fear of spaces (agoraphobia) which may be linked to flying dreams which is a classic anxiety dream. So what is anxiety, but fear! Repressed memories from the past, psychologists can be expensive, though you can get charity, or state funded counselling, though younger psychologists will have lesser experience.

A writing feelings technique for repressed emotions:

1 wait for a fear to surface, anything that stirs u up
2 remember this is not the repressed memory, but a clue
3 keep reading what u wrote 3 times
4 wait for some thing else to stir u up, now read both things 3 times
5 keep at it, till u admit something or discover something, so one sinks deeper and deeper. One will realise that 1 was just a surface bubble, one needs to go down into this ocean. Do not worry about writing errors, for they can be read in different ways, and could ignite the unconscious more and make the steps of 2,3, 4 and 5 easier.

I have some posts with comments on Panic Attacks with some interesting comments, for simplicity I have left them out. See Google search for this blog and type: panic attack to find these other posts.

Though it has been a few years since my last update.

One can lose one's sense of clarity during Panic Attacks, one loses much reason, rather than one lies to oneself.

Critical thinking exercises could help - link to these exercises.

As one can then examine oneself, basically what thought is causing my anxiety?

This would be different for different people, but critical thinking does imply a thinking that stabilises thoughts, and can prevent anxiety in this way.

As with interviews for a new job the first impression is important, as with my theory on how one enters from the most safe area to outside their most safe area. Also the first impression is considered to be the only impression in the interview. Secondly, a daring attitude is more suited in creating that first impression in the interview i.e the strong handshake.

NOTE

According to a comment in a previous post, I have been reminded that the theory assumes an external impulse instead of an internal impulse.

This does change the direction of my posts, for there are many directions one can go, I do not want to just go in any direction : this is a utility Blog.

Serious fractures are common among older people and can have devastating consequences, particularly if a hip is broken. It is already recommended that women should take exercise to reduce the thinning of their bones, but now research published in PLoS Medicine shows that men too can help avoid fractures if they participate in sport or other vigorous activity. link

Children over-reacting!

As adults we make too many decisions - all too many. Through a rush and a push one goes through life, instant decisions, followed by instant food, followed by instant television - reality television. Yesterday, I was playing with some video capture software, and I ended up going to work with my head spinning, one should take breaks! But my over-reaction to something that just seemed like a challenge got me to think about it and made me over careful, but by being over careful I was able to work it out: for things that were not logical became logical.

So how do children over-react, or how do they react to us!

In a New York Times article

The Disorder Is Sensory; the Diagnosis, Elusive

they believe it to be due to the senses sending the wrong signals to the brain, but Individualism sees this as a gift, for differences in sensual perception are a form of normalism, there is no wrong or right! Or how the brain receives this sensory info...

Perhaps there is nothing wrong with these children, as the world is becoming more sinister - children are sensitive to it, and some feel they should grow up faster, some react more, or some become more violent, as it may help them to deal with an increasingly violent world when leaders laughingly play chess with soldiers lives, over national ego trips.

From pg 3 of the New York Times article:

Spencer Cambor, 9, of Boulder, Colo., said that he had an assortment of sensitivities, from smells and tastes (“Lettuce is so bad I almost throw up. Really throw up.”) to a feeling of being cramped or crowded, which kept him in perpetual motion.

Spencer is still unusually sensitive, said his father, Roger Cambor, a psychiatrist, but added that after months of occupational therapy, “there was a marked change; all of a sudden he could sit in a circle when asked, he settled down, his handwriting got much better.”

One has to wonder about the idea of normality, what is normal, or different. For many leaders worry about differences between countries, as parents worry about differences within children: we are getting closer and closer to clone culture or quick decisions.
